i'm running excel 2002 sp3 under win 8.1.  when program first installed ran , closed no errors.  some time later, perhaps after win 8.1 update, excel cannot closed without error. even if file closed before attempting close excel still error.  when problem reporting settings set "automatically check solutions"  the error "microsoft excel has stopped working" .  excel restarted , shows list of recovered files (all of had been closed in previous sessions of excel) if problem reporting set "never check solutions" closing excel results in "stopped working" error , option debug.  if debug selected "an unhandled win32 exception occurred in excel.exe [7164]" reported. why closing excel result in unhandled exception , how fix this?  (please not advise me update later version of excel.  this version meets current needs , did not throw exception when installed on computer). thanks.

i'm on office insider fast, version 16.7 (171017) on mac. powerpoint extremely slow, unusable. because of insider fast updates? if yes, how can revert previous, stable version? hi irina, thank you for note. insider fast builds pre-beta test builds, often inherently unstable , buggy. idea find bugs can fix them early. more stable build, still beta, you can go slow build. in mac, can use time machine roll earlier build. might take a stable build if had 1 before.   if workhorse machine, want install production or retail build. stop getting insider builds, in 1 of apps, click help>check updates> , uncheck "join office insider program..." in autoupdate dialog box. i haven't tried it, i'm not sure if can go directly retail unchecking join insider, , clicking check updates (anyone out there know?) if not, drag apps trashcan, go to the office 365 main page , , click install office 2016 app

i have 8 people in office use same onenote notebook lives on our network drive.  have been unable sync changes notebook.  syncing status page shows green bar full, still says "syncing" , never finishes.  using onenote 2013 on windows 10. don't send me link page troubleshooting onenote sync problems.  looked @ sections of page.  first section 1 applies.  tells me try opening notebook online.  local notebook, cannot opened online.  page tells me should click "get help" button next error.  when click button brings me same webpage again. what causes notebooks stuck syncing? hi brian, there several reasons why issue happened, if there changes made on computer. better assist concern, please answer following questions: are there changes made on computer before issue started? if yes, changes? are computers connected in domain? have tried saving notebook in onedrive? know if onenote sync
