i have query named: qrygrievancetrackingform has following sql revised longer sql because getting error: not valid alias name.  revised original sql correct table names from: [grievance tracking system] to: tblgrievancetrackingsystem , from: members tblmembers.  before beginning rename 2 table in original query, i got an: inner join error when opened query in design view.  i think corrected inner join error.  now, i'm getting error: not valid alias name.  after clicking ok insertion goes to beginning of: tblgrievancetrackingsystem.*,. i've read many different things error: use quotation marks; use brackets and; you cannot have field name that's in table that's same table name. i'm using: tblgrievancetrackingsystem.*, tblmembers.*, can query grid , attempt correct problems there , because wanted retain the time intervals created.  read: "when want include fields data source, can either list fields individually in select clau
