KBDHID.sys virus warning? - Microsoft Community

popup in explorer saying have kbdhid.sys virus , should call 800 number remedy situation along username , password. not legitimate and rid of it.

typically things scams answer "getting rid of it" be:  don't go got it.  if need close tab or window can use task manager find appropriate instance of iexplore.exe , use end task command.  may difficult identifying appropriate instance tab task.  other methods depend on implementation of scam page.  e.g. typically hides normal ie ui , prevents access it.  may difficult work around possible using various less used user tools.  example, try starting narrator , see/hear can detect.  narrator commands allow explore , describe implementation details obscured or available using developer tools (which, again, may prevented opening or switching scam).  note narrator can have own audio control in volume mixer, should @ least able shut scam's audio while search answer using narrator.
