Excel 2013 on Windows 10 crashes when trying to Save / Save As - Microsoft Community

this problem has occurred in last few weeks. 

windows 10 , other apps date.

the problem first emerged after trying save excel file use track golf scores. file opened normal crashed after added comments , tried save or save as.

i tried following suggestions given in community: disable add-ins (done), disable anti virus (done), repair office (done), check updates (done).

none of these worked , still unable save / save as.

i deleted comments in in excel file (very annoying because contain lots of pertinent information) , ... file saved as.

i have opened , saved file multiple times without problem. original file contains comments continues cause excel crash when attempting save / save as.

unfortunately, have many other excel files have important information contained within comments (as documented excel files should) refuse save / save , cause excel crash.

so fix?

it’s possible excel 2013 crashes when saving file due outdated antivirus program because if you’ve disabled it, it’s still installed on computer , need updated. confirm, antivirus program using?

in meantime, suggest contact antivirus program support further assistance on how install update.

let know happens after update antivirus program.
