New O365 Sign In experience cant handle special characters in Office - Microsoft Community

when trying login office 2016 o365 account special character in eg: *** email address removed privacy *** new sign in "experience" converts ' html code.

so becomes johno'*** email address removed privacy *** on next screen enter password , login fails as johno'*** email address removed privacy *** doesn't exist.

luckily there still option go old login screen works i'm bit confused on why wasn't spotted testers.
