hi everyone, we have begun using word 2016 collaborative writing capabilities within research group. have onedrive installed locally on imac computer (and have office 365 account). essentially, follow standard directions share file within word 2016; click on share in top right corner, , invite others file (with editing capabilities). despite files being stored in onedrive, word 2016 asks me again save file "in cloud". doing allows me invite others file read/write capabilities. although strange have re-save file every time, seems work reasonably well. however, when re-open same file onedrive folder on imac, not respect fact have shared file others. if want share again, asks me re-save file "to cloud" again, not allow previous read/write privileges work. way of works reliably if go shared folder within onedrive using web browser , open shared file there; can open web file in word 2016 again , seems fine. it seems there no stabl

my vlookup function doesn't find values in column when exist. i've tried repair formula nothing works. here screenshots of spreadsheet    the formula in calculation sheet supposed lookup value in pe sheet misses every time. formula structured in such way if value not found returns "item not in c3 list". here list of i've tried. 1- using clean purge information in both columns 2- making sure each column contains text 3- ordering in ascending order 4- making sure vlookup references properly 5- when copying making sure paste special -> values anybody have idea might going wrong? solved it. turns out issue logic of formula instead of vlookups. vlookup either returns value searches or error, not true or false statement. in order wrapped in iserror() formula. once there dealt boolean logic , pretty straightforward. thanks jim Office

i though understood it. thought ctr (click run) vm inside of office 2016 run. . apparently not. . i learned interesting today.  have 2016 pro plus license "includes"  ctr.  surprised when user said killed ctr in task manager continued run office applications. thought intrinsic running office. apparently less thought was.  i stopped service in services dialog, still able open new copies of 2016 application.  checked task manager , found still running, (wtf? stopped service , confirmed not shown running!) killed there too.  cannot imagine amazement when found still start new office application windows.   more surprised when went task manager , found "microsoft office ctr (sxx)" running again ... no indication in services dialog ... <sigh> , i"m sure original service name saw in task manager did not include side side (sxs) part of name (i'm no willing reboot right find out.) . so, apparently ctr not vm though
