Word 2016 and One Drive Issues - Microsoft Community

my boss has weird problem office computer (windows 10 pro) , office 2016 (his personal 365 subscription). says having same issue personal laptop. goes onedrive folder , opens word file. file looses name , location path temp location. when goes save file, save in temp location, , can't find file. have tried can think of computers naturally save onedrive folder, without having hit save , navigating wants save it. going submit screen shots, apparently shut down computer can remotely grab screen shots computer... if needed post them later on.

one possible cause why files missing due corrupted file system. better assist you, we'd gather more information:

• have made recent changes prior issue?
• did error messages?
• can provide screenshot?
• does happen word files or other files also?
• have tried unlinking onedrive relink it?
