Having issues with Excel formula. - Microsoft Community

i have single tab spread sheet. if enter "3" in cell e3, totals wednesday, if enter 4 give me thursday.  don't want have go through 7 days worth views total.

i created sheet can copy cell information first sheet specific time , day.  

sheet 2 has box d3 want put total people on duty 4:00-4:30 (monday), there d3 tuesday, f3 wednesday, etc.

the problem can't separate data date.  if have sheet 1 open wednesday data sheet 2 shows wednesday entire sheet.

i purchased excel book , can't seem sort out problem.    understand "chose" has been replaced "switch" so

can sheet 1, in cell e3 enter 3 = wednesday , go sheet 2 , lock in data  wednesday cell range f3:f44.

hello,

first of all, choose() function has not been replaced anything. still available in newest excel versions , not disappear anytime soon. functions may added, not removed excel, because break workbooks use these functions. 

where see totals? can post formula calculates this? 

it if see screenshot of spreadsheet , explanation achieve.
