please performonline repair check outcome:

click start button > control panel > programs > programs , features > right-click on microsoft office 2016 , choose change > select online repair > repair.

if issue persists, can share more detailed information situation:

1. detailed sympton issue
2. screenshot of error message if got one.
3. office applications have same error?
4. screenshot of office version using. check it, open publisher, click file > account > under product information.
