Field won't update on form in MS Access - Microsoft Community

hi everyone

so here's dilemma. have datasheet in split form view displays agency information (agency name, subsidiary, address, city, etc). have button adding new agencies , form opens various fields user fill out hit save. when see new agency entered, appears in respective fields, except subsidiary. when comes subsidiary, user has 2 options. can either select subsidiary listed combo box. or can click button new subsidiary. button had different fields user can fill in agency information. mentioned, when playing around this, listed (agency name, city, email, etc.) except subsidiary name. not present in main table or when search on split form datasheet. suspect has 'update_query' i'm still relatively new @ , not sure how incorporate in situation. because know problem hard pinpoint based on vague description, have made dummy database not sure how can share microsoft community. whenever sign onto email click onedrive here:

and upload onto here whenever i've tried upload here, copy , paste link, people it's blank. thoughts?

hi vent, instead of using separate buttons new subsidiary, try using notinlist event of combobox add new entry. lookup notinlist event examples of how use it. can set combobox prompt if want add new item listing. can have form pop enter additional data. should check how loading data. may have unbound control somewhere not populating data in table. hope helps, scott<> p.s. if reply has fixed problem please click on "accept answer" link button. also, please grade our replies clicking on 1 of green/yellow/red option buttons indicate satisfaction our response. grading our answers helps improve our service. please, give chance respond fully.
