Silverlight 5 support for CShell UI on ARM - Microsoft Community

hi,

let me start out saying silverlight 5.

with plethora of helpful videos , posted code examples during 2008 2010, learned lot programming modern applications.

silverlight represented bridge between windows forms apps , new wpf platform, web-based - - minimum learning!

silverlight grow existing skillset, allowing me access native "c" libraries leverage popular com components,  or integrate own.

i sad microsoft wants forget such rich, powerful platform.  after all, windows 8 disappointment , windows 10, still not complete.  microsoft still doesn't have good web solution display data grids - area silverlight shines!!

at least, (microsoft) decided support win32 bit apps on arm, please allow silverlight shine light :).  mean, advertise complete win32 experience, yet read articles c shell popup menu saying version of windows doesn't support silverlight applications.  what's that?  chance win rt right.  if want force users use microsoft software , apps microsoft store, security reasons, why not let faithful following use own sdk - silverlight!!  makes sense, win32 supported.  best thing win32 sdk.  mean, mvvm paradigms give structured code , silverlight works fine in touch environment.

i hope there many more people myself, embrace new, support light!  silverlight allows me desktop programming web.  wrong that?  quite content stick microsoft platform.  fail see need kill off great legacy product.  doesn't make sense me.  silverlight support 30 years?  pretty data grids, with minimal code.  looking forward develop silverlight apps microsoft "courier".  mean... silverlight suppose future of application development in 2010.  lets bring the foldable pocket pc "courier", running on andromeda!

is possible / probable?

actually silverlight no longer in active development.

microsoft  has announced end of life of silverlight 5 in 2012.

in 2013, microsoft has ceased development of silverlight except patches , bugfixes.
