OneNote won't open a onepkg file - Microsoft Community

i've found interesting looking onenote file thought i'd check out see can accomplished onenote.

i downloaded it, , installed onenote. apparently wrong version of onenote.

uninstalled onenote, found different link "free" version of onenote , installed that.

tried open file, told had create notebook in onedrive. (no explanation why opening file involves creating file)

copied file onedrive. 

trying open file in onedrive causes re-download copy of file uploaded it.

no way tell onenote in onedrive open *$$@#$@ file.

how hell supposed open bloody file?

ready give on ****. it's worse trying make apple products work.

to open .onepkg file (which contains compressed complete onenote notebook) need paid desktop onenote either ms office or office 365.

the free downloadable onenote 2016 doesn't support this.
