Bld 16257: WU Troubleshooter improved but not bugfree? - Microsoft Community

question applies both skippy (16257.1000) , fasty (16257.1) builds.

hi all,

i pleased discover settings->upd & sec->troubleshoot->windows update troubleshooter has been improved in no longer reports same 'bogus' errors/fixes every time run.

however, 1 bug remains: keeps reporting 'check pending updates'. see on 3 machines.

my question simply, not seeing behavior?

well, don't seem have fixed wu troubleshooter much. still reports should false positives when run following update new build , wu check updates run.

i think 'checking pending updates' message troubleshooter doing regular wu check updates before runs diagnostics. @ least that's sequence of progress messages seems indicate, , make sense routine step every run.

anyway, i'm not seeing same thing are. false positives displayed again after restart.

i'm running regular fast build, 16257.1. chance running skippy build?

p.s. entered fresh feedback these continuing problems.
