Office 2010 Excel and Word - Microsoft Community

i getting ratted.  have managed uninstall office 2010 according advice respondants - statements given not match drop-down menus get, instance:- uninistall/modify supposed appear - uninstall  -- no option!

my problem every time attempt (at least 6 times) download , install "online reinstall" program appears in download folder (after long wait), run adiminstrator, install window opens bright , cheerful yellow, progress bar moves along , @ approx 3/4 of way receive nice error message stating program has "encountered error , did not install".

am thinking of getting rid of office , using open office or libre office if keeps on failing.
