Calculating Processors take too long in a spreadsheet - Microsoft Community

hi

i have spreadsheet isn't in-depth when entering data seems want recalculate across 4 processors every time - there aren't many formula included sheets linked form summary pages.  7 sheets included in file.

any idea on why slow?

hi michelle,

it doesn't matter how many formulas have in single excel file long it's long, you'll experience slow or long calculating process normal. usually, you'll experience long or slow calculating process if formula using long needs check every single data in file. add, if have chosen automatic calculation, formulas automatically recalculate when make changes. however, still need determine what's causing issue. being said, issue experiencing may caused following:

  • corrupted data / corrupted file
  • used long formulas
  • automatic calculation on

before proceed troubleshooting steps, we'd know more concern. kindly answer following questions:

  • is first time encountered issue?
  • what troubleshooting steps have tried far?
  • have tried recreating said file?

reply information can assist better.
