Adding a comma to a concatenated field in Access - Microsoft Community


i have query field, concatenated follows:

[title] [firstname]  [last name] [suffix]  the appropriate spaces included.

i need add coma after last name.  an example of concatenation  dr john smith, phd

my problem if there no suffix added, want not have comma in output.   ms susan fields

i found solution using suffix field     &(", "+[suffix])
