my office 365 subscription setup using default mac email client until last friday. on weekend authentication happening in house within company logging on office 365 migrated microsoft handled cloud. ever since email stopped working. deleted account can't setup on mac. can use outlook mac 2016 want use default client while setting errors out saying unable verify account name or password.
i faced similar issue on iphone deleting , recreating solved on iphone doesn't works on mac. skype business , other office apps working seamlessly.
any appreciated.

since office 365 account working on other devices , clients, means account good. issue should related default mac mail app.
i add test office 365 account default mail app in our test mac machine without issue, need collect more details scenario meet.

2. please clear mail cache in path: ~/library/containers/com.apple.mail/data/library/caches/webkit
