SUMIFS - Microsoft Community

i'm trying write formula subtracts sum of column k column t if column n or column o match column r

the formula in table expands based on number of calendar entries each day.

column t , k numbers (hours job/crew)

column n, o , r text fields (names of crew)

if use =t14-sumif($n$9:$n$90, r14, $k$9:$k$90) works column n (of course - that's way it's written) but

if use =t14-sumif($n$9:$o$90, r14, $k$9:$k$90) still works column n not column o

if use =t14-sumifs($k$9:$k$90,$n$9:$o$90, r14) "#value!" error

if use =t14-sumifs($k$9:$k$90,{$n$9:$n$90,$o$9:$o$90}, r14) tells me have formula error

i have googled / watched countless examples/tutorials , still can't make work

suggest abandon sumif in favour of sumproduct

in snip below, yellow stuff data , find sum of numbers in when wither b or c has value x.

the green stuff confirms our result

best wishes
