please access registry editor in windows , navigate to:

computer\hkey_local_machine\software\policies\microsoft\office\16.0\common\officeupdate

hi sheen,

i have freshly built laptop here (win10 enterprise 1703) has had office 365 pro plus installed directly 365 store.

the user account assigned first release, yet office update setting set deferred channel , build version 1701 (build 7766.2099).

also registry path:

computer\hkey_local_machine\software\policies\microsoft\office

does not exist.

a reg search 'officeupdate' shows nothing.

you can create yourself.

for example, go computer\hkey_local_machine\software\policies\microsoft

select “microsoft”, right click > new > key

rename “office”

use way create path computer\hkey_local_machine\software\policies\microsoft\office\16.0\common\officeupdate

right click position of right white page > new > string value

rename “updatebranch”

then can double click open it, insert “current” click ok.

go office program > file > account > update options > update now

after complete update, channel should current channel.
