Excel - How to sort data in columns while keeping rows intact in - Microsoft Community

hello,

i have data on 4 sheets keep intact. such when sort column in 1 sheet not mess data in other sheets. currently, have sheet general information summary, production, delivery , installation data of item. have column item name in every sheet along date that item last produced delivered , installed. 

when sort dates on general sheet newest oldest production example, resorts columns of item name , date in production sheet, other data feeds each item remains same. when enter new data being produced 1 item, still inputting item corresponded when formula made before sort.

so question is, how keep rows intact no matter what. sounds simple concept me have rows linked or build relationship between cells in row such excel knows connected , should stay together.

making rows stay intact within same sheet simple. issue data connected between 2 or more sheets rely on each other.

i've never seen happen excel file before, sorting on 1 worksheet changes sorting on worksheet.
