OneNote link shared throguh OneDrive - how to open in OneNote - Microsoft Community

i got link onenote notebook colleague. when open link, see notebook in onenote online. can choose edit in browser, want edit in onenote 2016 on pc. option not available onenote. available word or excel documents in office online.

how can edit notebook shared me in onenote 2016?

to edit shared onenote file in onenote app, need open in onedrive. see steps so.

1. open shared link , prompt onenote online.
2. once opened, click on "edit notebook" option beside  "print" located on top right of page.
3. once clicked, given 2 options: edit in microsoft onenote and  edit in browser (choose edit in microsoft onenote).
4. click on continue.
5. you prompted onedrive shared note. also, a pop-up message show saying "did mean switch apps?"
6. click on "yes" , prompt onenote app shared note.
7. you can edit file in onenote app.
