Office 365 not working offline - Microsoft Community

i purchased office 365, confused. appears work when connected internet. why doesnt programs work when offline?

same here.  lose power in rural area, @ least have laptop , work on documents while waiting power/internet restored.   not office 365.  same "you not connected internet" (really????  ya think?) and unlicensed warnings , crashing others have complained about, , guess what?  it's 2017, , subscribers still can't edit documents while offline.   microsoft keeps going caveman days instead of offering customers productive software, , office has turned nightmare.   not renew.   free stuff used in old atari days far more efficient 2017 garbage version.

office application can still work offline. you can create blank document, workbook, or presentation when offline.
