Office 365 - Can't download installer - Microsoft Community

so, when log onto portal.office.com, use school account, , click on "install office 2016", download doesn't start. tried "other installs" option, , nothing work, chrome returns error "err_tunnel_connection_failed". have page load, can download installer?

in internet explorer, try disable internet explorer proxy setting , check if download installer.

  1. open internet explorer.
  2. click settings icon, , click internet options.
  3. click connections tab, , click lan settings.
  4. uncheck box says use proxy server lan.
  5. make sure automatically detect settings box checked
  6. click ok.

 

you can follow same steps in chrome.

 

if issue persists, please provide screenshot of error.
