edge browser doesn't work - Microsoft Community

after reading email, there link clicked on. sent me edge browser. 

once opened, it's blank white screen , stays way 5 seconds , closes. 

whatever do, such clicking on settings or typing name or word in search browser, nothing happens. shut down in 5 seconds actions ignored. 

i take photo of link address on phone , type in different web browser , comes up, no problem. 

it's been since upgraded windows 10.

please answer of following [admittedly tedious] diagnostic questions number, preferably without quoting post:

1. when (approx. date) did purchase computer?

2. did computer come windows 7 or windows 8(.1) preinstalled?

3. when (exact date, preferably) did upgrade windows 10?

4. manufactured computer (e.g., dell; hp; acer; lenovo; asus)?

5. has norton application or mcafee application ever been installed on computer since bought it?

6. have ever run norton removal tool and/or mcafee consumer products removal tool?

7. version & os build of windows 10 installed?

• press & hold windows key , press r key. in run dialog, type winver , press enter key.
