OneNote randomly stops working - Microsoft Community

i have users having issue ms onenote.  when open, spontaneously fault indicating has stopped working, goes data recovery mode , restarting resuming @ same location.  frequency of these faults has increased point reluctant use program.

 

googled problem , solution.  there number of hits issue , suggestion rename cache file rebuild when restarted, i’ve tried without success.

we need gather more information better understand concern. kindly answer these questions:

  • when did issue start?
  • were there changes made on computer or on onenote 2010 before encountering issue?
  • what version of office 2010? determine version of office 2010, follow steps here.
  • is there error message when onenote stopped working? if so, error message?
  • do encounter issue when using other office apps?
  • what troubleshooting step you've done far?
