MS Office can't verify the license - why did Microsoft mess up my - Microsoft Community

i have had office 2013 home , student installed on pc since after bought in february 2014.   running windows 8.1.   since has been upgraded windows 10.   fine until got hit huge windows update last weekend (took on hour install).   ever since then, when launch word or excel an error message displays says: “ms office can't verify license product.    you should repair office program using control panel”.   when closed d/b ie launches generic page no help.   the banner shows word , excel unlicensed product - licensed - app has been harmed company created it.i did ‘full repair’ of ‘ms office home , student 2013’ via control panel , appeared solve problem first time launched word every subsequent opening of word or excel still has unlicensed problem.    problem may last 1 can take ms.   may no longer purchase microsoft products , move linux , google docs.

you purchased office 2013 , during install created or used ms account?

and if log on account shows purchase & status? http://office.com/myaccount

if start word itself, within word, file>account....... under product info shows correct product?

if wish move linux changing hardware? there no official release google supports linux
