Copy function simply not working in Excel for Mac - Microsoft Community

i cannot copy text excel mac - running latest version 16.6. 

this goes both copying individual cells , text within cells. neither keyboard commands (command+c) nor menu options work. however, copy function not greyed out, other people have noted in troubleshooting sites online. seems normal, not copy text.

closing program fixes glitch, not always. have formatted cells text, nothing works. driving me absolutely crazy. help? thanks!

accelerator feature not compatible windows 10 causing computer load programs slow,  need download link correct problem moved from: internet explorer / internet explorer 10 / other/unknown hello sharon, starting windows 10, version 1703, accelerator can no longer used in internet explorer. can check article to learn more said setting. let know if have other concerns. regards.
