Microsoft Edge is corrupted so bitmap programs are affected - Microsoft Community

it's long story jpg, bitmap files being downloaded temporary folder not download folder, tried fix moving medge folder. on things got worse more i've tried solve more stays same. tried using command prompt fix on youtube think did fix things can't use edge , have use mozilla or ie

i think i'll have reinstall windows 7, have 10 it's on top of 7

i delete edge , reinstall think might fix it

microsoft edge built-in application on windows 10. can reset microsoft edge, might delete favorites, settings, , browser history. reset microsoft edge, kindly follow these steps:

1. go c:\users\%username\appdata\local\packages\microsoft.microsoftedge_8wekyb3d8bbwe , delete on it.
   %username refers name of user account.
2. on search box, search windows powershell, right-click it, , run an administrator.
3. copy , paste command below , press enter.
   get-appxpackage -allusers -name microsoft.microsoftedge | foreach {add-appxpackage -disabledevelopmentmode -register “$($_.installlocation)\appxmanifest.xml” -verbose}
4. reset pc , open microsoft edge. message appear saying microsoft edge has been reset default.
