Lost Excel file on OneDrive - Microsoft Community

on past 2 days spent significant time producing document in excel saved onedrive. foolishly did not confirm saved locally before closing program, , now, after signing onedrive, i've discovered file gone. additionally, when try open file through excel using "recent" tab, gives me "cannot find file" error while looking file on onedrive sharepoint. can lend hand? prefer not have start on on document i'm mentally preparing myself so. thanks.
