this issue has stumped me. happens randomly after image backup.

i'm wanting repair system can rollback better build of windows. cannot use windows update in safe mode way can use windows @ moment. cannot roll previous version of windows through recovery seems fail, system restore points won't work either, have vanished.

i cannot find current build in iso form windows website create recovery usb.

really need here don't want restore old hard disk image seemly lose progress on forza 7 reason.

i've done sfc , has come 'ok'. 

removed devices , attempted 'clean boot' windows fails boot normally.

unexpected_kernel_mode_trap (error code 0x0000007f) 1 of windows 10 errors shows blue screen of death (bsod) causes computer crash , freeze. bug check indicating cpu has generated trap , kernel failed catch trap.

if sfc , clean boot did not resolving issue, try performing driver verifier track down misbehaving drivers might causing issue. refer forum article created zigzag3143 (ms -mvp) on how use driver verifier.

update outcome can provide further assistance.
