IE 11 Won't Open with Dec 2017 Win 10 Upgrade - Microsoft Community

on dec. 6, 2017 allowed microsoft install latest major upgrade win 10. after that, internet explorer stopped opening - showing spinning wheel brief moment. workaround, holding down ctl-shift , clicking on ie icon. opens after requiring me click yes on allowing win 10 change pc.

anyone else getting this? suggestions on how fix ie 11 opens clicking startup icon?

for my case found out combination causing problem allows ie11 to run administrator.

i had trusteer rapport installed used online banks security. installed on year, problem started couple of weeks ago updates on windows 10 , internet explorer 11.

i uninstalled trusteer rapport , iinternet explorer 11 opens normally.

i reported problem ibm.

something in latest changes creates problem between ie11 , trusteer rapport.
