  1. click file menu, , choose options. in word 2007, click office button , click word options. in word 2003, choose autocorrect options tools menu , skip step 4.
  2. choose proofing in left pane.
  3. in autocorrect options section, click autocorrect options.
  4. enter (c) in replace field locate pre-defined item.
  5. press delete , word enter copyright symbol in field.
  6. change lowercase c uppercase c.
  7. click close , ok.
