AutoRecover setting changed from Enabled to Disabled, But I Did Not - Microsoft Community

i working example.xlsb , autorecover enabled (the disable autorecover unchecked). saved example.xlsb saved new file example2.xlsb. couple hours later excel crashed while working on example2.xlsb , there no autorecovery files saved example2.xlsb, there example.xlsb. opened example2.xlsb last time had saved , found disable autorecover option checked. opened example.xlsb , disable autorecover option unchecked. how can autorecover disabled if did not manually disable in options or in vba?

hi hensleywa,

based on description, autorecover option changed in 1 of file automatically. investigate problem, need confirm information:

1. "disable autorecover option" mentioned in thread current workbook only. option may different if open different workbook.

2. please check whether example2.xlsb has enabled autorecover.

3. try creating new workbook , check whether default option of autorecover disabled.

4. screenshot of excel version, can check in file > account.

regards,

tisky
