farmula use in exel - Microsoft Community

i have values 1 to2000 in excel cell "a", like-245,147,315,517,318,647,etc.

i wants:-

if value of cell "a" >100and less 300than in next cell "b" =100

if value of cell "a" >300and less 500than in next cell "b" =300

if value of cell "a" >500and less 1000than in next cell "b" =500

what farmula can use , please me

you don't want if cell (say) equal 300 in each cas i've assumed >=100, >=300 , >=500.

try this.

=lookup(a1,{100,300,500},{100,300,500})
