Support for Windows 2007 Ending - Microsoft Community

while appreciate knowing support windows 2007 ending upsetting when microsoft codes replace, without permission or choice, computer settings open old 2007 spreadsheets with excel 2016.  i not need or desire buy excel 2016 at present time.  seems like evil bullying force purchase or go goggle.  not being computer geeky disappointed @ time have spend getting around unwanted intrusion on compute.  workaround routine i now have perform open each file annoying . if can recommend how regain control of default open assigment appreciative.  excel 2007 no longer appears optional program choice replace current excel 2016 assignment.   had trial 2016 excel came computer , never subscribed alone appears viable default choice. .

there may issue system , registry files of office 2007 why repair tool recommending re-install program. if case, highly suggest re-install office 2007 system files of office 2007 replaced new one. long still have installation disc , product key of office 2007, can still install , activate program on same computer.
