Retrieving Microsoft Account Information - Microsoft Community

i don't remember account information used install ms office home & office student 2016.  created account, however, account not allow me access account.  office program wants me activate word, etc whenever use , showing "unlicensed".  how can retrieve account information?

i have 2 email addresses , can't seem either 1 work!

even if aren't able access previous microsoft account, can still able retrieve it. can follow instructions provided on link. if else fails, can follow instructions below:

fill out recovery form:

follow these steps recovery form:

1. go the password reset page.
2. select reason can't sign in, click next.
3. enter email address, phone number, or skype name that you used create microsoft account.
4. enter characters see on screen prove you're not robot, click next.
5. select i don't have of these when asked verify identity, click next.
6. you may asked if have account recovery code. have created in past , saved in secure location, not code sent phone or email. if can find code, enter here. otherwise, click no.

now should @ page says recover account. follow these steps fill out form , send recovery request.

1. check make sure account name listed under email, phone, or skype name is yours, , spelled correctly. if not, start on password reset page.
2. enter email address can use contact account recovery, click next.
3. a screen pops asking verify email address. we'll send security code in email. enter code here, , click verify.
4. now you're asked answer several questions , account. fill in information can, if you're not sure.
5. click submit when you're finished.

after you've submitted we'll send results of recovery request email address gave in form. can take 24 hours because our support team reviews forms have guesses or almost-right answers.

if recovery request accepted, we'll send you instructions recover account. after in account, make sure set up security info to prevent happening again. 

if request denied, can keep trying up 2 times per day. if don't remember enough information recover account, you'll have to create new one. protect everyone's privacy, our support agents can't see account details or unlock accounts.

the message receive stating unlicensed means have use microsoft account have subscribed, registered or enrolled upon activating microsoft office.
