excell protect sheet - Microsoft Community

hi, ther way can protect excell sheet still enable other users view tables , enter text while other cells locked? have used sheet in past enabled me cannot seem work.

thanks help

step 1: unlock cells.

  • make sure sheet not protected.
  • select cells user should able edit.
  • press ctrl+1 activate format cells dialog
  • activate protection tab.
  • clear check box labeled locked.
  • click ok.

step 2: protect sheet.

  • activate review tab of ribbon.
  • in changes group, click protect sheet.
  • specify user should able do; @ least, leave check box "select unlocked cells" ticked, otherwise user won't able anything.
  • if want set password required unprotect sheet, enter in password box. not forget it!
  • click ok. if specified password, you'll have enter again confirmation.
