Office 365 multiple domains - Microsoft Community

hello!

first of all, have been reading multiple domains in office 365 wanted confirmation before doing it.

so @ moment have our official main domain (let's call domain1.com) in use in our office 365 subscription. own domain (let's call domain2.com) has not been used yet , seems need has arisen. need 1 user/email secondary domain instead of our primary. if add domain2.com our office 365 subscription,

• will interfere domain1.com in anyway?
• will our domain1.com continue working primary domain before?
• will new user secondary domain able receive emails normally?

if have not explained situation enough, please ask more clarification , i'll try explain better. thank you!

1. mean "interfere"? can give examples?
2. whether domain1 primay domain depends on domain did choose when adding user, , of course can edit primary later going active users > select user > edit username > add alias , set primary.
3. yes need add mx record route emails domain.
