No boot after Office 2016 install on build 17046 - Microsoft Community

when install office 2016 pro plus on build 17046 , reboot pointer , rolling dots no start windows.  gets stuck @ load screen.

hi,

your concern performance of device after installing office 2016 pro plus can due changes in configuration of device and/or broken system files. based on information you've shared, we'd recommend running windows in safe mode. this, can press f11 computer starts boot or perform following:

  1. on log on screen, press , hold power button of device. performing power down device.
  2. once device off, press power button.
  3. after 3-5 seconds, interrupt boot process pressing , holding down power button. repeat 2 3 times. performing force device prompt windows advanced startup/boot options menu.
  4. select safe mode.

note: once you're able load windows in safe mode, we'd recommend checking device manager possible driver issues. this, can perform following:

  1. search , launch device manager using cortana.
  2. on device manager window, check if there categories show exclamation points. may need collapse categories better view of drivers.
