Excel - Microsoft Community


every time hit tab in excel, borders automatically appear. when use auto sum, borders appear full lines above , below. i'm sure auto-formatted don't know what.

one of possible reasons why issue occurs due incorrect configuration on settings of application. we'd know if issue same when excel application in safe mode. check it, kindly follow steps provided on link. identify if add-in or extension causing issue.

once done , issue persists, recommend check if there add-ins , remove it. this, follow steps on link and check if issue same after removing excel add-ins.

if borders still appear automatically when pressing tab key , using auto sum function, recommend repair office application. can following steps in article. steps provided in article troubleshoot , resolve issues when office application not working properly.
