OneNote Won't Open. The Icon Bounces. It's In A Loop, It - Microsoft Community

hello,

i need help. love app , i use manage business. tried install sierra high other day , didn't go well. ended having erase hd , restore backup. looks have of data , information when try open onenote seems in endless loop of beginning open, however, never opens. icon start bounce app never opens. whatever screen had opened before tried open onenote begins "blink", mean focus seems going , forth onenote , active screen. continues until go activity monitor , select onenote , force process quit! 

i have tried deleting app , reinstalling it, each time try start app starts looping process again. please let me know if have solution me. i've tried google this, no avail.

considering deleted , uninstalled office before, it’s possible files , folders not deleted completely.

 

i suggest uninstall office , reinstall first.

moreover, if issue persists, please provide following information troubleshoot:

1.your office version. since can't launch onenote, please go finder>applications, can view version. if doesn't appear, right-click top menu, click version.

2.your mac os version.

3.can other office applications launch?

4.how did launch onenote? finder>applications, dock or other ways?

 

please let know results once you’ve tried above steps.
