Getting windows user name using javascript in Microsof edge browser - Microsoft Community

hi,

i working in internet application.below technologies using in project:

angularjs , no server side framework.

below client requirement:

there login page.when user load login page http://mytime.com:8000 want auto populate windows user(loged in user name) name in user name text box in login page.

in ie 11 browser doing getting windows username using javascript below:

var objuserinfo = new activexobject("wscript.network");  var uname =  objuserinfo.username;  
the above code working in ie 11 not working in microsoft edge browser in window 10.
please me how can achieve above requirement in edge browser in window 10
moved from:  windows / windows 10 / windows settings / pc
