Excel Inquire Compare Files Result - Microsoft Community

have 2 spreadsheets trying compare make sure master sheet encompasses of data smaller sheet.  ran compare files not understand results.  unchecked cell format , made results little more comprehensive still not understand results.  line numbers , cell values line x in master would never same smaller sheet, comparison?  in other words line 42 on smaller sheet line 4450 on master if the data entered.  there way find out missing master file?

according description, suggest following steps

1. type spreadsheet compare in search bar, right click run administrator.
2. select compare files, and choose master compare  small .
3. select list in lower-left corner.

if master contains small’s data, see nothing except master excel , small excel.

if see else,  will shows difference. or can select small compare master.

 

and please provide screenshot steps if you’re  still  confused.

note: please mask personal identifiable information protect privacy.

            can backups file avoiding data loss.
