Onenote can not type italic equation - Microsoft Community

i use alt+= shortcut start equation editor , type equation on onenote 2016, win10, surface book. however, when i finish typing , move cursor outside editor, equation cannot italic automatically. have select equation , click "normal text" twice make equation italic. there more convenient way italic formatting?

we tried adding equation in onenote, , did not experience same issue. being said, issue experiencing may have onenote app.

a series of troubleshooting steps needed resolve concern. however, before proceed, need gather additional information have better view of concern. kindly answer following questions:

  • is first time encountered issue? if so, did make changes onenote prior concern?
  • what troubleshooting steps have tried far?
