Merging Documents - Microsoft Community


hi,

i'd appreciate please.

i'm merging documents 1 master. documents used moving forward. 

i'm allocating 1000 lines in master document each of other documents linked when information added in other documents, master document populate same information.

however, i'm having issues formatting.

i'm using copy function add data master document. eg,     ='[document1.xlsx]sheet1'!a7

where there no value in, say, document 1, master document populates 0. i've tried if statement remove won't work) there columns of data dates. when formatted short date in master document, lines no value in document 1, shows 00/01/1900 in master document. how can blank? have conditional formatting highlight specific colours when date entered these columns, when date has past or when there isn't in column.

i hope i've explained myself enough.

please help!
