Lumia 640 phone contact retrieval - Microsoft Community

for last few weeks have been unable retrieve contact details or add them on phone. having several hundred contacts, it's real pain. annoying thing if contact phones me, name displayed. in the same way if key in contact's number, phone displays name. phone still has info stored, can't retrieve it. if try search contact it's blank. ideas please? i'd appreciate help. thanks.

prior issue, have made changes on phone? also, troubleshooting steps have tried far?

in case haven't tried troubleshooting steps, recommend perform soft reset pressing power , volume down button 15 seconds. once phone vibrates, release hold , wait phone finish restarting.

let know happens after have tried doing soft reset.
