Locking cells function does not work properly on my file - Microsoft Community

using excel 2013 version, have spread sheet want to lock some cells. have selected the protection status of all relevant cells as locked. when protect sheet, not cells supposed locked locked. sheet has sum formulae and blank cells, also cells are filled with different colours. am confused why cells locked status not getting locked. can me please

if of cells getting locked , other not, go review ribbon, click on menu option 'allow users edit ranges' toward end on top right hand side. if there cells ranges mentioned there delete them all. cells in ranges not locked.
