Excel: Need to sort multi-year data by week by stationID- please - Microsoft Community


hello,

i have data set has daily readings (which have sorted weeks) weather stations. need sort data ot weekly averages of variables weather station. have attached screenshot of workbook, including example (top line only) showing averages need. found online can done pivot table, not figure out how workted weekly average station. great!

ex: d2 average of akr02's week 18 data in column e. 

     f2 average of akr02's week 18 data in column g...etc.

have found answer going suggest, pivot tables. still in process of learning them myself can't give specific instructions.

generating sums, pivot tables can calculate averages. have group data appropriately

can provide links these free 1hr each (approx) pivot table webinars. if don't have time view them right now, suggest download of them. pretty sure recall seeing mention of generating averages in 1 of them. don't have buy courses shilling @ end lot of benefit watching them.
