one of ways know update you'll needing device or know what's installed on device through our update history office support article. being said, know kind of office 365 using mobile device? because if in case you're using office 365 insider, can refer article release notes , have crossed reference installed on device. if in case have feedback bring up, can tap on file, , choose send feedback.

as second concern, referring word app for ios? if so, can refer link cross reference file you're opening files supported word app ios.
