How to activate Office? - Microsoft Community

few days ago had virus problem , since can not use account. every time try acces excell or word file, there's message confirm account. when (i had change password), i'm getting message "sorry,we ran problem while trying install product key, system error 0x8007005), , suggestion repair file. after trying repair file, there's message activate,and story beginning.

i must have product key somwhere , many, many years ago.

is there else try activate office?

some of account information may have changed since had virus. therefore whenever you're getting message confirm account, may no longer have ownership of files or folders. however, come proper resolution, kindly answer following questions:

• is office 365 subscription still active? if yes, need connect internet intermittently office can verify office 365 subscription still active.
• did buy office online or @ retail store? if purchased esd (digital) copy online, no product key required. but, if office installed product key, can no longer used. sign in my account page install (or reinstall) office.
  
• when accessing files, logged in administrator? if not, kindly log in on account administrative privileges , check if issue persists.
  
• are using a firewall manufacturer? if yes, you can visit manufacturer's website information how temporarily disable firewall.
• which antivirus software using? if using third-party antivirus program, check antivirus manufacturer's website for more information on how turn off antivirus software.

meanwhile, can try using activation troubleshooter can resolve activation errors in office 365. can check link for more information on how activate office 365.
